Jessica Simpson might be done with ex Eric Johnson for good, but she wants the world to know that she's not through with love. In fact, during an appearance on Today with Jenna & Friends, Jessica revealed what she wants in a man in the wake of her divorce, and it's actually pretty simple.

Just hours after dropping a new single “Fade,” which fans are convinced is about Eric, Jessica told Jenna Bush Hager that she's actively searching for a new beau. “I'm slightly terrified,” she began when asked if she was ready to date. But when Jenna offered to set her up, the singer jumped at the chance. “I am single! I'm ready,” she said.

Like any good matchmaker, Jenna followed up, asking Jessica what she was looking for in a man. “My type of person is one of a kind,” she said. “I don't have a look or anything like that. I just go for somebody to be individually who they are and exude confidence without the ego.” Jessica continued, “It's hard to find, but I feel like it's out there.”

She might not have a physical type, but Jessica did have some personality requirements. “I don't need somebody to be supportive of me all the time,” she said, adding, “The independence that I have right now—if I can have that and give to somebody else, that would be cool.” Her other non-negotiable? “Has to be a very good kisser,” she said. “To me, that's the most intimate thing. Like, grab my face and pull me in. Can you tell I need it?”

Jessica appeared on Today on Wednesday to promote her new music—her first release in over a decade. She took a step back after welcoming her first child, Maxwell, with Eric, and continued to take a break from music as she welcomed two more kids, Ace and Birdie. She announced her split from Eric in January after 10 years of marriage and has turned all that heartbreak into brand new music.

“Music saved my life,” she told Today in a prior segment. “Nashville saved my life, all the songwriters, my band, everybody.”

Welcome back, Jessica!
